First Look- 2012 Giant TCX W
We just got in the very latest 2012 edition Giant TCX W, the world’s first and only cyclocross bike with a women’s specific frame. Debuted in 2011, the TCX W became women’s best bet for a cross bike that truly fit. Lots of us girls breathed a sigh of relief, finally a bike equipped with appropriate sized handlebars, stems, and saddles! It’s something close to revolutionary to have sizing options, and not just buy the smallest available standard frame. (I’m 5’5″ and comfortable on the Small, leaving the XS to shorter ladies.)
In 2012 the TCX W continues to be eqipped with SRAM Rival. Out of the box we immediately felt the bike was deliberate and spared little expense at the design level. It’s super light (it tipped at scale at 19.01 lbs. with reflectors) and new for 2012 features Fizik’s highest end Arione Donna saddle with aluminum rails for the demands of cross.
Swing on in to check out sizing and take one out for a ride. While it’s not an entry-level price point (maybe if we all recruit our friends to race cross they’ll be enough demand for 2 models next year!), it’s a solid bike that you’ll love riding far into the summer. (can you say that about your ill-fitting Sora equipped bike?)
I bet that this great fit will improve your confidence and handling, making it your best ‘cross season or riding season yet.
