Today’s helmets shouldn’t induce headaches or double chins. Thanks to systems that hug the back of the head they are designed to stay put without clamping on your temples. A good helmet will sit levelly on the forehead, neither perched back or tilting over the eyes. And best of all, it’s comfortable! We recommend trying a couple different styles and brands to see which one fits your head shape. Then do a simple fit test; make all adjustments, then with the straps unbuckled shake your head. Vigorously! While it might shift slightly, the helmet should remain on your head. Today helmets come in a wide range of sizes! P.S. Helmet manufacturers recommend upgrading helmets after 5 years. Take a look for UV damage or cracks which indicate it’s time for a new one!
