Cycling shoes fit differently than your average shoes. Cycling shoes will have a stiff sole for dependable power transfer, which also makes them feel quite rigid. Look for a shoe that cups your heel and reduces movement. They shouldn’t fit like a ski boot – having extra room in the toe box enables you to wiggle your toes on long rides and accommodate swelling on hot days. You’ll probably wear wool socks in the winter, so a little extra room is good thing. Try on different brands to find the most comfortable fit for your feet!
